How to change your TikTok username

Before you change it

  1. ✓TikTok currently limits username changes to once every 30 days.
  2. ✓Usernames use letters, numbers, underscores, and periods; a period cannot end the name.
  3. ✓Changing the username changes the profile link.

Change the username

  1. 1In the TikTok app, tap Profile.
  2. 2Tap Edit profile, then Username.
  3. 3Enter the candidate and tap Save.

After the change

  1. ✓Replace links in bios and creator kits.
  2. ✓Check scheduled posts and link-in-bio tools.
  3. ✓Verify the new URL from another browser.
